The aim of the research project is to map the cognitive relationships of the
draughtsperson'sbrain in the construction of the mental activity that results
fromtheexperiencewecalldrawing.Eyemovementsandmanualtrajectories
triggerajourneythroughthisvisuospatialmappingofanatomical,neuronaland
cognitiveconvergences,which areconnected to cultural, historical and social
itineraries,inaclusterthatallowsonetovisualizetheprocessesinvolvedinthe
epistemologicaloriginsandlimitsofdrawing.
From the sketch to the project, the scientific reflection converge to the
specializeddomainsofneuroaesthetics,theexperienceofbeauty,thecreative
universality and individuality. The cognitive mapping is guided by sources of
artisticproduction:visualorganizationandcomposition,structuralelementsof
plasticity language, systems and methods of technical and graphic
representation, treatises and traditions of drawing (proportion, scale,
perspective, shadow, colour), expression of marks, medium and supports,
emergenceofnewdigitaltechnologies.
